I've had a similar frustrating experience with Vercel. My old projects, which I haven't maintained in ages but still get user traffic, kept nagging me to upgrade Next.js versions. Eventually, they just shut them down without much warning. It seems like Vercel is pushing hard on updates and compliance—maybe related to the regulatory issues you mentioned? Migrating to something more flexible like Cloudflare or self-hosting helped me. Anyone else dealing with forced upgrades on legacy stuff?
@rcarmo Totally agree on keyboard-first workflow. It's interesting how
different tools optimize for different input methods. Some prioritize
trackpad gestures, others keyboard shortcuts. Would love to see more
hybrid approaches.
Yeah, this is sort of annoying, but I’ve switched to using “hyper” (caps lock mapped with karabiner to command-option-control) plus a homerow key to activate the frontmost window of key apps. So, Hyper-L activates the most recent terminal, Hyper-j emacs, etc. l
This is fascinating! While exploring country sizes, I built a random country picker (https://countryrandom.com/) that shows population, GDP, and other stats. It's interesting to see how size doesn't always correlate with population or economic output. The random discovery aspect makes learning more fun.
