amazing, i didn't know PDF supported javascript.

i've tried making "interactive" PDFs before but using POST and server side rendering rather than client, e.g. a PDF typewriter i made a little while back on http://news.coffee

very cool

post it on lobsters first, then if its good, someone else will probably repost it here without your having to do anything, and then handful of people that saw it over there will likely upvote it on here also. good luck

I like lobsters, but I can't join the discussion. Can you invite me? thanks

you shouldn't join that guy's $375 thing.

whoa, that was easy, can you believe i just saved you $375?

if you're feeling generous for my saving you a WHOPPING $375, i only ask for a small small tip request of $3. win win for both of us. i saved you some cash, and now you've got $372 in your pocket. :handshake:

the maze game (screamer) permanently rewired my brain to avoid anything like this on the internet forever. staring at the dot for 2 seconds is already nerve wracking - will an exorcist face suddenly pop up? is it worth the risk? never again

the line about "The truth is never going to come out" is related to the uncertainty of whether or not it came from a lab, not (as the piece implies) having anything to do with "They also thought they were going to get away with it". it's very misleading and should be corrected

Yeah; they seemed skeptical that China would ever let the world know what actually happened, if something did escape.

yeah, and they've effectively trapped those 2M users, because when you go to delete your Threads account, it will say [0] that by doing so it will also delete your Instagram account as well... ouch

So you need a little browser extension that will delete all your posts for you.

Which won't exist because threads is app-only?

You can check out any time you like

But you can never leave

nice, inspired me to write a guide on how to delete your threads account

its a good question. i accumulate so many temporary images saved from day to day internet usage that at the end of the year there's just thousands and thousands of files. i started a ritual a few years ago where i would comb through all of my 'temp' images throughout the year and pick my favorite and turn it into a slideshow; for me that's been the best way of taking my favorite images, doing something with them, then not having to think about it any more. heres one from 2021 [0]
