as a business. you actually have a "bottom line"...
if the cost price for a factor of production goes up. of course you fight it. starting with the cheapest methods.
as productivity goes up. the end game probably looks like lots of automation and few people employed. and those employed would pay taxes. so that others can be "employed" to do unproductive things.
I will be raising what is effectively my hourly by whatever the minimum wage increase ends up being.
For me it's about distance from my past but I suppose that means that I've currently left money on the table today?
