Salesforce will provide new ways for employees to work, including WFH forever (businessinsider.com)

I was allowed and occasionally worked from home before pandemic. I have an excellent technical setup and separate room for my home office.

But now, almost one year later, I want to go back to the office.

I certainly felt less stressed and more happy when I could enjoy the change in environment and having some in-person social interactions.

Working from home makes me loose the feeling that I'm part of something and the job I liked a lot becomes just "a job".

This is probably not universal, since each company is different, with different traditions. Maybe some people are relieved that they won't have to step into the office ever again. :)

Join a social club or get a hobby, no matter if its book club, rock climbing, fitness classes at the gym, volunteering, or D&D.

Congratulations, you have been officially deprogrammed, welcome to reality.

To your second point, I don't see it as being out of step with reality feeling like I am part of something at work. We all want to feel like we are part of something and that we're contributing to society, one way we achieve that is through togetherness and being with other people.

I can think of many things that become boring when other people aren't involved.

I think it's likely dependent on the person, and their ability to be close to work (commute).

I'm certainly much happier working from home at this point, but I also used to have a commute of roughly 1.5 hrs a day.

At this point I don't envision ever returning to an office.

Okay good for you, why add your voice and make it harder for the vast majority of people that don’t want this. Go sit in your office when the quarantine is done but please be quiet about your opinions so legitimate change can happen before then for the rest of us.

It's becoming more and more clear that hybrid WFH is the way of the future, and I couldn't be happier. It's the best of both worlds.

Wow, and they just built Salesforce Tower. Can some floors be converted to housing?

Are you still working from home if you are working in your apartment located exactly where your office used to be?

you're thinking too narrowmindedly ;-) Think we should be putting Benioff on the spot and have him volunteer it as low-income housing.

You are if you can do it in your pyjamas.

Was the whole tower planned to be used by salesforce? It seems like large towers are rarely occupied by a single tenet. They usually rent out a lot of space to other companies.
