It is problem solving. The number if times I have sat down with a business user to go over a problem they are having only to have to unpack the Rube Goldberg machine of illogical processes, datasets, and dependencies they have created to arrive at their "solution" they are now asking for my assistance with.....
I dont look for AI, at least not ChatGPT AI to solve that. Most IT problems are Solution XY issues. ChatGPT can solve to Y, but understanding X is the real trick
