Hey HN,
As a long-time reader and first-time poster, I wanted to get advice regarding getting started with selling and marketing self-written and self-published eBooks. What are the best platforms to publish on? How do I go about marketing? What should I be charging? I'm very new to this, so I hope I can get some valuable insights from others who have been down this road and made some mistakes and learned from them.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback, as this is my first time asking about something like this online.
Thanks.
As with most authors, they find themselves procrasinating so keep to your points, write your outline, and stay with it. Depending on the length of your book, you charge what you want, but just know that you'll sell more at $0.99 or $1.99 than you will if you set them at $9.99. Depending on what you are writing, you may even want to keep it under 100 pages or make it into a series of short reads. The hardest part of writing your book is marketing it and getting people to be interested. You can hire someone on Fiverr to design several book covers which is a huge part of the attraction to get people to even notice anything you've written.
Write it. Edit it. Be confident and comfortable with it. Upload it. Market it. Sell it.
