I have a mild preference for leaving off part of the quote when a subset of the quote is sufficient to demonstrate my point, and the continuation will amplify it: it's a little reward for people who actually check the source material, and preempts anyone who might otherwise be tempted to accuse me of taking the quote out of context :D
